Best Birthday Present Ever

Finding this on Facebook was probably the best birthday present I ever received, as I wrote in June 2015 on the Facebook post.
I remain truly thankful to my friends in Guatemala for producing this lovely tribute, and even more for allowing me to share in their lives in some small way for more than a decade now. It has been such a grand privilege to discover and participate in such a wonderful community.
I offer heartfelt thanks to the donors and board members of the Maya Center for Rural Education and Well-Being (MayaCREW) for providing the money, sweat and love to make the scholarship and development projects administered by Acebar possible. It’s things like this – the work and the sharing, that truly give meaning to our lives.
